Best supplements for youthful skin: Vitamins D, C, E and K are the best

If you’d like to reduce the number of dark spots, patches of redness, wrinkles, rough patches and dry skin, look no further. Here are the top four supplements that could lead to younger-looking skin.

The first supplementation recommendation may come as a surprise, as staying away from the sunshine’s harmful UV rays is key to protecting your skin.

However, dosages of vitamin D – 600 IU per day, according to Oregon State University – is needed.

In fact, vitamin D may be beneficial in treating skin conditions, such as psoriasis.

The NHS explained psoriasis appears as “red, flaky, crusty patches of skin covered with silvery scales”.

These patches tend to appear on the elbows, knees, scalp and lower back, but can turn up anywhere on the body.

Medical treatment can include topical applications of vitamin D analogues, which has been verified by a study.

Malaysians are being placed under an iodized salt diet to tackle a nationwide micronutrient deficiency.

Starting September 30, 2020, Malaysia’s supply of edible salts will be mixed with iodine. According to the Health Ministry (MOH), iodine must be added to salt or fine salt – the ones we regularly use for cooking – weighing 20kgs or less, before it can be sold to consumers.

Why so-dium salty?

This comprehensive dietary change was made following amendments to the national Food Regulations 1985 in 2018 after it was found that Malaysians are suffering from iodine deficiency.

Studies revealed that around 48% of Malaysian children between 8 and 10-years-old lacked iodine in their diets.

Iodine deficiency, as the name suggests, comes from the lack of iodine –

Best Skincare for Men Over 40

Look, we get it—you might not have cared much about your skin when you were younger because you thought you didn’t need to. Lots of men feel that way. Lots of men, most men we venture to say, also start noticing changes to their faces starting in their forties. These changes, like crinkling around your eyes or dark spots on your cheeks, seem like they happen overnight and when you notice them, it can be jarring. Instead of shaking your fists at your younger self for not taking care of your mug sooner, start a skincare routine ASAP. While it’s true that prevention is always better than a cure, “it’s never too late to start addressing aging skin, just like it’s never too late to go to the gym,” says dermatologist Joshua Zeichner, M.D., Director of Cosmetic and Clinical Research, Department of Dermatology at Mt. Sinai in New York City.

© Provided by Hindustan Times

More than 800 employees working under the District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) have not received their salaries from the Maharashtra government since May. On Thursday, many such employees staged a silent protest in their respective offices.

“We have not received our well-deserved salaries despite working throughout the lockdown. Many of us have EMIs to pay and bills to clear, but the government is not considering our situation. Despite making several representations, our file is still pending,” said a DIET employee.

Officials from the state education department did not respond to calls and messages.

A source from the state government said the delay in payments was owing to the delay in disbursal of funds from the Central government.
